TOP 10 REASONS TO ATTEND CMASAS
AN ACCREDITED K-12, ONLINE, PRIVATE SCHOOL
ACCREDITED
CMASAS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges known as WASC, one of six regional accreditation agencies for grades K-12 serving western states, the Pacific region, and schools worldwide. Many CMASAS courses are also approved and accepted by the NCAA Eligibility Center for student athletes wishing to be eligible for and participate in collegiate sports.
SELF-PACED & ASYNCHRONOUS
Online classes are not live lectures, but interactive, dynamic lessons that access a variety of modalities to engage the learner. Courses are delivered in an asynchronous format so students can work at their own pace, on their own time schedule, and with the ability to control the amount of time needed to complete each course without worrying about course or assignment deadlines.
COLLEGE ACCEPTANCES
Many CMASAS students attend top-tier colleges and universities around the globe. CMASAS prepares students for higher learning by offering both Honors and Advanced Placement courses, and it has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) to provide 60 college-level, dual-enrollment classes which allow high school students to earn college credits.
FLEXIBLE, SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Our pedagogy offers students flexibility in each course to personalize assignments based on their learning style, interests, and skill level. Students learn from home or any parent-monitored environment, thus eliminating any in-person campus safety or health concerns.
PERSONALIZED EDUCATION PLANS (PEP)
Every student has their own Personalized Education Plan (PEP) and is assigned a dedicated and experienced online Personal Education Coach (PEC) and Course Instructors (CI) who provide one-on-one personalized attention to help guide students in their course planning, organizational skills, course curriculum, and fulfillment of graduation requirements.
PERSONALIZED ATTENTION & FAMILY ATMOSPHERE
Students receive weekly or daily check-ins from PECs depending on their tuition level. Their instructional team plays an important role in the student’s overall success and achievement of their academic and personal life goals. The PEC forges strong partnerships with both parents and students and is the main point of contact throughout the student’s time at CMASAS.
BROAD COURSE OFFERING
As a school of arts and sciences, CMASAS provides a full range of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) courses including science classes with physical lab kits, Career Technical Education (CTE) courses, and visual and performing arts classes including music, art history, design, drawing and digital arts, as well as an extensive world language offering.
MASTERY & PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
Our personalized education model is mastery-based, which offers students a small course load of 1-3 classes and requires students to achieve a grade of 80% or above to reach course mastery and completion.
STUDENT CONNECTIONS
CMASAS encourages students to explore their passions and pursue extracurricular interests. Students have an opportunity to socialize during weekly homeroom, participate in more than 30+ student-led clubs, attend our all-school assemblies, meet in person at one of our five annual regional gatherings, or even jump into one of our annual international trips. We also offer leadership opportunities through Student Council and National Honors Society.
GLOBAL REACH
CMASAS is proud of its diverse student body from 31 different countries, giving students a multi-cultural perspective and opportunities to exercise global citizenship and respect for others. For international students, we offer an amazing opportunity to earn a U.S. diploma at a WASC-accredited private school. This opens doors for international students looking to pursue studies and admission to American universities.
