Christa McAuliffe Academy School of Arts and Sciences (CMASAS) provides a full range of STEAM courses that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and math into all aspects of our students' learning. Our school is committed to providing students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in the modern world.
Our STEAM courses are designed to help students develop a deep understanding of these subjects through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and work collaboratively to solve real-world problems. By engaging in this type of learning, students develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
CMASAS offers science classes with physical lab kits, Career Technical Education (CTE) courses, Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) classes including music, art history, design, drawing and digital arts, and a broad list of Humanities classes. Much of our curriculum is created in-house by our team of developers. Our students graduate with the proficient use of advanced technology, given the need to navigate their learning through online methods.
We also offer students the opportunity to receive elective credit for pursuing their passions through log-based courses. These opportunities are available for students whose passions may include becoming a pilot, taking an advanced painting class, training for a surf contest or marathon, or ice skating every day. To receive elective or PE credit for these efforts, the student would track their time, complete a project, and submit evidence of work completed during the course timeframe.
Along with a full range of STEAM courses, CMASAS also offers:
