This course provides students with a foundational understanding of computer concepts and practical technology skills. Students begin with computer basics, including computer components, keyboarding, and operating systems and browsing. They develop proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets, including using data to create charts. Students learn how to use presentation software to create and present digital presentations, and are introduced to HTML and database basics. Digital literacy is emphasized, with a focus on online safety, ethical use of technology, and understanding legal responsibilities. Finally, students examine the role of technology in society and its impact on communication, work, and daily life.
